You folks are going to have a very soggy couple of days coming up... multiply it by a factor of probably 10 and you'll see what I experienced from it.

Bring on the rain, I won't have to water the lawn.
It's been a good year for not having to water the lawn!

Actually you were right about TWO things. One, that we're gonna get wet. Two, that I'm one of the coolest people you know!

One good thing about all of our storms this summer, our 10 yr drought is history. No more water restrictions for a long time. Well boil advisaries for some folks....

I saw on the news today that even though the wind had subsided, thaat trees were just falling over due to the over saturation of the ground.

I only have one tree next to my home, a huge ficus about 12 ft tall (yes the same kind of ficus you usually see as a houseplant) I removed all the branches next to the structure so that it wasn't scraping it in high winds or breaking my bedroom window. I also figured by making it heavier toward the open yard if high winds did take it out the weight distribution would more than likely make it fall into the yard and not on my bedroom. But it weathered it. Several times when it was just howling wind and no rain I opened my bedroom window to look at it and it was bending a good 2"-3" back and forth at the ground.
